Let's Make Some Vegetarian Pasta Sauce
If you think a tomato is a fruit, don't put it in a fruit salad. Make this vegetarian pasta sauce instead. Cross over the traditional cultural boundaries!
A vegetarian pasta sauce don't need to be all that complicated. You complicate your sauce with fatty cholesterol laden junk, your body will revolt on you.
A vegetarian pasta sauce is as simple as fresh Marinara sauce made from garden tomatoes with fresh garden herbs. It can be your base sauce for your pasta needs.
This one is downright simple. Have some herbs growing in your garden? Throw them right in there and let the flavors simmer away together!
Those marinara pasta sauces that come in cans are okay, but it's even better if make them yourself from real fresh tomatoes with garlic and herbs. If you happen to make more than you needed, just freeze them for a rainy day.

- a whole yellow onion cut in four sections
- 5 cloves of garlic

- fresh rosemary from there too

- a handful of Italian parsley - ditto, from the garden as well
- a little bit of salt to your liking

to work and it should puree the tomatoes, spices and herbs (all of the ingredients) together with just a push of a button.

TIP: You can saute a couple of cloves of garlic in a little oil, pour the puree and simmer. An extra garlic flavor makes this sauce even better!
You can even make it your base sauce for vegetarian lunch ideas, like toasting a piece of bread, put the sauce on it and a little cheese if you're a lacto vegetarian and you got some simple lunch!
Smother it on a pizza dough, top it with veggies and you get yourself a vegetarian pizza. The possibilities are endless! The sky is the limit of what you can do with it so make a lot and freeze them.
