Pretty much any vegetable that can be mashed and formed into a patty and can be sandwiched into a bun makes a veggie burger. There are many variations from chick peas to red and black beans to lentils and potatoes.
But these patties are very delicate and when you try to flip them on your grill, you are ever so care careful not to break them so they make it to your buns intact. So let's make this veggie burger our way!
Do you want fries to go with your veggie burger? Well then, make your French Fries in your Favorite AirFryer and serve it with your burger!
For your flesh:
2 Large Portabella Mushrooms
For the marinade:
2 cloves garlic mashed
one half chopped onions
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
4 tablespoon organic soy sauce or Tamari
Herbs of your choice
Organic Ketchup (or a splat of hot sauce for the topping)
If grilling on a stove-top on a pan, you are going to need a bit of oil.
Note: Best thing is that these mushrooms release quite a bit of liquid suitable for cooking they're own self so you need less oil to nothing when cooking on stove or on the grill.
Remove the stem from the Portabello Mushrooms. (Save them in the fridge for your next vegetarian meal recipe) Though, I like mine chopped and marinated along with the mushroom crown and sauteed in the pan. I use them as extra burger topping.
In a mixing bowl, prepare the marinade by mixing the together. Brush the insides and the outside of the mushrooms with the marinade mixture. Set aside in a covered container for 30 minutes prior to grilling.
Grill as you would a regular burger whether you are using a frying pan with a bit of oil or just flip them on the grill.
Serve on your favorite bun with some green salad and summer non-GMO corn on the cob.
Dinner is served.
Prepare your French Fries. A nice AirFryer can do all the dirty work for you. The make the best fries ever! Promise. Serve them with your veggie burger.
Juicy! Will never miss barbecued artery clogging flesh. Portabella veggie burgers are better than flesh burgers.
Take note of what Alicia Silverstone says about one of the reasons she got started becoming a vegetarian. The smell of flesh burning during 9-11 in New York city smells like a giant barbecue!
This portabella burger recipe is gotta be the easiest on the planet using mushrooms as your meat when you are eating clean.

My name is Pura. That's pronounced as Poorra with a short 'ooh' sound and an emphasis on the 'r'. Italians call me Poora which is close enough. Spanish folks also call me Poora which is about right. Here in America, they call me Pyura or Pawra - it's a cruel world. Hmm. My mother called me Nene, which means baby girl in Filipino.
