Make Ahead Breakfast - Best part of waking up.

Snooze a little bit longer in the morning knowing that you have a yummy make ahead breakfast waiting for you in the fridge.

That's the idea of a make ahead breakfast. It's invented so you can enjoy a little bit more sleep in the morning. You can forgo the cooking and just eat when you get up. Ya' think you can handle that?

Whether you are a night owl or an early bird, for sure you would appreciate breakfast that you don't have to cook. Right?

Well then, wake up and stop dreaming. Soak up some organic chia seeds the night before to make a nice Chia Pudding parfait in the morning so you can snooze a little longer.

Assembling this raw pudding is real easy. You can do it with your eyes closed.

Okay, not really. That's just a figure of speech. You have to keep your eyes open to make it all pretty. This Chia Pudding recipe is an ultimate no brainer.

  • 4 to 5 tablespoons of Organic Chia Seeds. More if you need it thicker.
  • 2 cups of natural liquid to soak them in. You can use either coconut milk, almond milk or even fresh coconut water
  • Sweetener of your choice. You can use raw honey or maple syrup but no table sugar please. That's a no-no!
  • Like some vanilla? Go ahead and put a splash in.
  • A sprinkle of Cinnamon Powder.
  • Favorite fresh fruits of your choice

What are Chia Seeds? 

They are superfood with an array of health benefits. Just make sure you are buying something organic. 

These little seeds contain high amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids complete with protein, calcium and other anti-oxidants, not to mention fiber for the roughage that we all need.

What Organic Chia Seeds look like. You can buy them safely at Amazon.

Put your preferred liquid and the Chia seeds in a container with a tight lid. I used coconut water here which is naturally sweet.

You can use any nut milk too. Be the boss. Add the sweetener of your choice, the cinnamon and the vanilla if you are using it.

Stir and let it soak overnight in the fridge.

That's about it.

In the morning when you wake up, just slice a banana and mix in a handful of your favorite berries.

If you're are feeling creative, layer it in the fruits and arrange as you wish.

If you're feeling a little lazy with your eyes still half close, just mix all the fruits in. Heck, they all go down the same way all happy, right?

There you have it. Enjoy your easy make-ahead-breakfast.

This Chia Pudding breakfast was eaten before working in our backyard garden in New York. 

It was delicious! The Chia seeds become thick when you soak them overnight. They absorb any flavor you soak them in creating a delicious pudding.

Chia seeds are great for lowering the bad cholesterol and keep a good balance with the good type. My doctor told me to incorporate Chia seeds in my diet. Tell me something I'm not doing already. 

Been there, done that. Loving the convenience.

Both the blueberries and the raspberries were harvested from the backyard garden so they're really super fresh and all organic.
