This banana strawberry smoothie is a complete meal all on its own. Bananas and strawberries are a match made in heaven. They make a fool-proof energy smoothie. It's a perfect fruit combination.

Easy smoothies like this make an all time favorite specially in the summer. Bananas are always available all year long and you can always find frozen strawberries when they're not in season. 

Fruit smoothies are really fun to make with all the beautiful color combinations. Besides bananas and strawberries, you can add whatever fruit that suits your fancy.

Dates are a good choice to sweeten them if you really have a sweet tooth. Make it fun and experiment with all the fruits and vegetable combinations.

You may find out that some vegetables and fruits that you've been avoiding become a favorite blended together after all.

  • a handful of organic strawberries from the garden (frozen)
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • some ice
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter

To achieve the icy smooth consistency similar to an ice cream softie or soft-serve icecream, you have to have a high speed blender like a Vitamix or a Blendtec. They do a great job making icy creamy desserts.

Just give it a good whirl. Count to 30. Should be done in 30 secs using a high speed blender. Gotta love the Vitamix.

Yummy! This stuff was icy just like a soft serve ice cream.

Don't throw your bananas out in the trash just because they have black spots in them. They're actually the best when they're all spotty like that. 

Bananas are best when there are a bunch of dark spots in them. Freeze them without the peel for future use or just put them out of their misery. Into the blender they go with other fruits and blend away.

Just forget about the banana bread.

Or you can be like a chimp... peel and eat - that's their simple recipe for this fruit. They're the happiest.

The best banana and strawberry smoothie experience is when you drink them icy either mid-morning or mid-afternoon as a snack. You can even freeze the smoothie for a bit then scoop it into a pretty glass for a delicious fruit sorbet.
