Go ahead. Snooze a little bit more on a lazy Saturday knowing that your breakfast has been made the night before. Here's an easy vegetarian crock pot recipe.

I don't know about you but most of the time, I am never a morning person. I always like my breakfast easy without using major pots and pans to scrub after every thing is said, done and eaten.

This delicious vegetarian crock pot recipe is for a bowl of oatmeal. It is my numero uno pick if I want to eat something wholesome for breakfast without all the hassle of cooking.

Vegetarian slow cooker recipes are always easy. You set it, run and forget it. When you come home from a hard day's work or play you've got a meal that's been simmered and cooked to perfection!

I use a Crock-Pot Slow Cooker with Digital Timer. It makes life so much easier.

The Vegetarian Crock Pot Recipe

  • Oatmeal
  • Apples
  • a bit of salt
  • Cinnamon
  • Blueberries
  • Water

Salt or honey to taste when done.

Slow Cooker Breakfast Oats

Peel about 2 apples of your choice. Remove the seeds or core and chop it in chunks. Put them inside the slow cooker and mix it with about a cup of oatmeal. Add about 2 cups water or just enough that can be absorbed by the oats. Eyeball it. Add some cinnamon and stir.

Cover and set the slow cooker to low. Go to sleep. When you wake up in the morning you'll smell the aroma of breakfast calling you. Add honey if you have a sweet tooth and some more fruits on top.

A favorite slow cooker is the one with a Digital Timer and a Stainless Steel.

How to choose the best crockpot:

  • The ease factor - It must be light enough and not heavy so it's easier and manageable to use
  • It must be programmable. So you can really just set it, run to work or play and forget it. When you some home, your meal is done. It's like your cook or chef by default.

  • It must be attractive in the kitchen. Who needs an appliance that's ugly and such an eyesore sitting your counter top?

There are so many slow cookers in the market today but my personal favorite is the programmable one. This way, you can just set it and forget it. 

Making a delicious breakfast couldn't be easier when you own an efficient Crock Pot or Slow Cooker.

Crock pots or slow cookers are a must in the kitchen when you want a  one pot meal that simmers and cooks your food without ever watching it.

Just set it and wake up or come home to a healthy meal.

They're ultimate time savers for busy cooks and those who work outside their homes who want to save money on food yet want to eat healthier than prepared commercial foods.

Be a crockpot vegetarian! It's as easy as 'Prepare, set, go and forget it.' Your delicious and healthy meal is done with minimal effort.
