Vegetarian Breakfast Ideas - It's too early to be in a bad mood!

I don't know about you, but if you are not a morning person, why cook and slave in the kitchen when you can just wake up and eat?

Why not let the fridge do all the cooking for you so you can sleep a little late in the morning? You know how much you and your body desire that extra hour of beauty sleep.

No cook oatmeal parfait is a perfect vegetarian breakfast idea for the summer months when the temps are really hot and steamy.

So how do you like your oatmeal?

You can cook your oatmeal in your Favorite Slow Cooker overnight and just wake up to it filling up your house with a sweet cinnamon scent.

But, here's a favorite breakfast idea. No cooking required.

You can vary the ingredients to this recipe:

  • 3/4 cup Quick Cooking Oats
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar (more if you want it sweeter)
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a teaspoon of Chia seeds (optional)
  • a sprinkle of cinnamon
  • 5 slices of strawberries
  • slices of bananas
  • blueberries

Note: For fruits, you can use whatever you have that's in season.

Get your pretty container to store your overnight oats. We like Wide Mouth Mason Jars.

For the Oatmeal:

In a bowl (or whatever container you prefer), put the quick cooking oats and pour almond milk over it. In it, sprinkle some ground cinnamon and add the Agave Nectar or Raw Honey. Put a teaspoon of chia seeds in it if you have it. Chias make this parfait thickens. Cover the bowl and let it sit overnight. 

Breath. Relax. Sleep tight. Embrace the moment. You don't have to wake up and cook breakfast in the morning.

For the fruits:

In the morning, you can add all the fruits you like in it and layer them in a pretty container alternating the fruits and soaked oats.

For the topping - It's bananas and strawberries with dates blended together.

Eat this vegetarian breakfast. Or tote it to work if you're in a rush. 

It's easy, super nutritious and really good. It's an anti-inflammatory food that you will love making so your body can love you back.

So yeah. Make your breakfast the night before. You can snooze for a little bit in the morning knowing that your breakfast is already prepared. Just assemble, eat and go!
