Tomato Ketchup Recipe - How to make your own ketchup at home.

Do you like ketchup? Good. With this simple tomato ketchup recipe you'll get dunking everything without ingesting toxic chemicals that you get from the bottled ones.

Here's a very simple tomato ketchup recipe that you can make at home. Avoid that bottled ketchup like the plague. It's got toxic chemical ingredients that you wouldn't believe! Scary. Make your own and rest assured you're eating an all natural ketchup.

So you got some fries.  Now you need some chemical-free ketchup to dunk them in.

What's french fries without this red sweet and sour condiment to dunk your fries in? Sure, getting this from a bottle is convenient but please take  a look at all those chemical ingredients.

You may not think that what's in that little innocent bottle is actually poison that will make you sick consuming it overtime. It's highly processed with lots of toxic ingredients like HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) and containing only a minuscule tomato paste which probably came from GMO tomatoes.

If you know how to read labels, the first ingredient that's listed on the label is the ingredient that primarily contain in the food. For example, if sugar is listed first, it contains a lot of it. Normally the bottled ones would list tomato concentrate from red ripe tomatoes, distilled vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup (that's tricky - it's a double), salt, spice, crap and more crap.

Almost every single bottle of ketchup has that High Fructose Corn Syrup. This additive is just bad news. It's the worst ingredient in processed food. Avoid it like the plague.

So here's a quick and easy tomato ketchup recipe:

  • 6 oz can of organic non-gmo tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup honey or brown sugar or anything less processed. Avoid table sugar.
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar (I used Apple Cider vinegar because it's so much healthier)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • sea salt to taste
  • a sprinkle of onion powder or about a teaspoon
  • a sprinkle of garlic powder or about one teaspoon also

Put all the ingredients together in a sauce pan. Turn the stove on to a medium heat and stir until a smooth consistency is obtained.

This is the best part: I sometimes scoop it with a spoon and just eat it like that. Yum.

Cool off the ketchup. Once cooled, pour it in a container and refrigerate. It should last for about a week or so if you are not a heavy ketchup user.

But if you are, then just make another batch, a big one!

Homemade Tomato ketchup

Trust me. It taste better than the ones in the bottle. I made some french fries in an air-fryer and they came out perfectly good enough for dunking into this all natural ketchup.

If you are a ketchup lover, you might want to make a double batch as this will disappear quick. It taste great without all the added toxic chemicals.
