This raw chocolate sauce is delicious, thick and very easy to make with just minimal ingredients. You can make this thinner and you can pour it as a syrup.

If you make this thicker, it doubles as a healthy frosting. That'd be the ultimate healthy icing on your cake or put on any raw food desserts.

This raw chocolate syrup makes a healthy topping for vegan fruit pies.

You can even lick the spoon when nobody is looking and you'll feel no guilt whatsoever!

Scoop some up and spread this healthy chocolate frosting on... or dunk a banana or whatever fruit you have in it. Hmm. So good!

Who needs to buy that canned chocolate frosting or syrup that has a shelf life longer than your grand folks?

Make this natural version of chocolate syrup. You can feel good about it knowing that it's fresh without all the crazy toxic cancer promoting additives.

  • about a dozen soaked Dates with the water
  • Raw Cacao Powder (about 3 heaping tablespoon)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Agave Nectar or Raw honey or Maple Syrup to sweeten more
  • a pinch of salt
NOTE: You can find Organic Raw Cacao Powder online or at your nearest specialty health store.

Soak the dates for at least 5 to 8 hours

Put in the blender with the water they were soaked in

Add the cacao powder, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and the preferred sweetener.

Blend until smooth.

Pour in a glass container.

Can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days but no longer than a week.

Tip:

To make the sauce with a frosting consistency, add more dates and put less water that they were soaked in. They make excellent chocolate frosting to use on raw cakes and desserts.

To get it really smooth and creamy, whip it all up in a High Speed Blender.
