Ever had papaya ice cream? No? Well then, you can have all the virtual scoop of this right here from papaya heaven.

With an intention to make a fence out of papaya trees, it ended up to having so many papaya trees with fruits you can eat everyday of the week and never complain a thing other than what to do to save them from rotting.

So what to do? Think of something to make them as desserts rather than just eat them. Oh yeah, ice cream!

A papaya tree loaded with sweet ripe papayas that can be eaten as you please. These fruits can be eaten as is or made into desserts.

So coming up with a recipe for ice cream using this fruit is one of the best ideas out there to savor all the abundance.

Make this papaya dessert and you'll never look at papayas the same way ever again. These fruits are huge so eating one whole thing by yourself is kind of difficult.

Papayas are sweet by nature so they're perfect for making ice cream without using a ton of sugar.

One sure way to make this dessert is to use a Nice Food Processor.

Favorite Papaya Dessert Recipe

  • Organic ripe papaya
  • Frozen banana partially thawed
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh coconut milk (you can use coconut cream as well for creaminess)
  • additional sweetener such as maple syrup, honey or Agave nectar to taste.
  • Optional for non-vegans: If you use milk, you can add condensed milk to it and some heavy cream if you want.
Put all the ingredients in your Favorite Food Processor and run it until smooth.

Note: If you want this ice cream really sweet, you can add more sweetener of your choice as you process the mixture. Taste as you go.

Otherwise, if you are diabetic, be careful with the sugar content because papayas are naturally sweet.

Once smooth, transfer the mixture to a container and freeze until just solid enough so you can scoop it soft-serve style.

If you like, you can pour it in a well prepared Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Frozen Yogurt Sorbet Soft Serve Automatic Freezer. It will come out great. That's a promise!

You can't go wrong with a real fruit ice cream soft-serve. It's so yummy that you'll be wondering why they never sell this at your ice cream parlor - because they simply don't.

There's no emulsifier used here so it's totally whole foods in ice cream form. Not a trace of preservative here because you don't have to preserve anything.

You'll consume this whole thing in no time!
