Here's my copycat kale chips recipe that's been all the rave these days. This one is so simple. You don't even need that expensive dehydrator. Your oven can do the job well. Check it out.

Oh yeah. Lower down those eyebrows. They're really, really good!

Kale is abundant in the Spring, Fall and Summer. You can even harvest them in the winter as they are cold hardy.

These are cold-loving plants that come in different varieties. The curly ones are the most popular.

Not only that they're delicious, they're nominated as the nutrition powerhouse among all the other greens. 

This vegetable is versatile. You can put them in smoothies, delicious sauteed, great in soups and of course great for making kale chips!

What do you do with all those kale? Well, here's how to make kale chips!

Curly Kale Plant
  • Kale (of course)
  • sea salt
  • olive oil
  • garlic powder
  • nutritional yeast
  • onion powder (optional)

Note: Curly kale type was used here.

Experiment with other seasonings if you like.

Making kale chips the easy way:

Wash and remove the stems out and cut or rip them up in big pieces. Dry them in a towel. When dry, transfer to a big bowl and spray them with olive oil or any type of oil you like. Sprinkle with a bit of sea salt and garlic powder. Sprinkle some nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor. Stir to coat. Spread them loosely in a baking sheet. Bake in 250 to 300 degree oven and watch until they're crisp. Turn the leaves if necessary. Serve it in a pretty bowl. 

Polished them up. This stuff makes an excellent vegetarian snack! Even the omnivores went ga-ga over them.

Nothing but crumbs left. It's easy to eat the whole bowl of it. They're nice and crunchy and have just the right spice. It's a better alternative to greasy potato or corn chips.

It's hard to eat just one of these. It's not just the better chips but it is the best. They're crunchy and totally addicting. 

There are so many ways of cooking kale. One of my favorite is making kale chips. No doubt it's a very healthy snack. In fact, it might even be considered a super snack.
