Frozen Fruit Dessert - They'll never know there are green veggies in it!

Got some picky eaters in the family? Well, then... whip up this frozen fruit dessert. They'll never know they're having veggies as well. 

Here's a luscious frozen fruit dessert. They will never believe it's not ice cream and they'll never guess there are vegetables in there. Well, unless you tell them!

Go right ahead. It's okay to be sneaky. This frozen fruit dessert has veggies sneaked in. They'll get dessert and vegetables as well.

If you wanna go vegetarian for weight loss purposes, having a dessert like this is the way to go. You get to cheat your craving for desserts in the most healthiest possible way.

This can be an anytime vegetarian snack that's sure to please your palate. Guaranteed you will make it over and over again because it's so easy to make.

Worried about sugar? No worries here. There are no traces of that bad sugar in this thing, it's all good sweetness from fruits only. This is sweet but it has no sugary junk added unlike those highly processed frozen stuff from the supermarket.

There... see the greens?  How on earth would anybody know there are green veggies in it unless you tell them?

  • 5 Collard Greens (from the summer garden, spinach is good too!)
  • Sprig of Mint
  • 1 cup Organic Strawberries
  • 6 dates Dates
  • 2 Frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Cherries
  • 1 tbp peanut butter
  • 5 tbp raw Cacao powder
  • 2 cups Left-over juice
  • cacao nibs for sprinkles

As you can see here, the green vegetables are at the bottom. They're collard greens from the summer garden. Cram them all in there and give it a whirl until smooth. There's no rule to veggie combination here. Just fill up your high speed blender to the top.

Drink some and freeze some!

Pour some of the smoothie in a bowl or deep container (if you didn't drink it all) and put it in the freezer until it's slightly frozen but not frozen solid. When you see that it's just about done, scoop it into a glass or pretty container. Put a sprig of mint on top. 

So there you have it. It's the amazing chocolate fruit dessert with collard greens! Go ahead and indulge. Desserts don't have to be too complicated. 

You don't need to restrict yourself with desserts. All you have to do is  choose and eat all the right type. This stuff takes only a few minutes to make.

You can drink the smoothie by itself then freeze the rest for later to make this chocolate treat. You get to have your allowance of fruits and vegetables for the day - all in a delicious frozen treat.

This can be your vegan or vegetarian breakfast, light yet filling lunch or a sweet indulgence after dinner instead of that caloric, sugar and fat laden commercial ice cream. 

It's been said that the word 'desserts' when spelled backwards is 'stressed'. Well, don't you believe it. Let this fruit dessert recipe take you away because it's so decadent that you will never guess it's not ice cream.

This healthy chocolate smoothie meets your recommended allowance of vegetable intake for the day. Hard to believe, but yes it does!

It's a great way to use up your left over fresh juices and make them into a frozen fruit dessert.
