Being awoken to the fierce sun rays peeking through my window sill is a great feeling, making me want to have a fruity frothy dessert smoothies for breakfast!

So, though squinting my eyes getting out of bed, Spring always gives me energy somehow. Finally, natural light pouring out from the sun - free Vitamin D... and all I can think of is breakfast dessert smoothies! 

Spring brings us an abundance of strawberries. Mangoes come out just about this time of year too stretching far into the summer. They're just too inviting. So why not put mangoes in the mix? Mangoes are just about to come in a rampage for the season!

So here's a yum in a glass for ya'. Bananas, strawberries and mangoes are the fruits that dominate this super healthy treat.

It's fat-free, cholesterol free, hassle-free and no artificial anything. Lay off the donuts and coffee. This is the one dessert that your body approves!

Feast with your eyes and have some of this incredibly delicious and nutritious strawberry banana smoothie with extra fruits fabulously arranged around them. This is just one in many raw food desserts you can count on. 

Now why would you have those pies and cakes loaded with sugar and flour that are classified as dead food when you can have a scoop of this fruit dessert served in a pretty container?

So here's a yum in a glass for ya'. Bananas, strawberries and mangoes are the fruits that dominate this super healthy treat.

  • 3 Frozen Bananas
  • 1 cup Frozen Strawberries
  • 5 Fresh Strawberries
  • Flesh of 2 Mangoes
  • 1 tbp of peanut butter (optional but gives it a unique taste)
  • 1/2 cup soy milk or almond milk to get it started

Invest on a high speed blender like this Vitamix

  • Add the liquid (nut milks or even water). Blend until smooth. The result will be extra thick and frothy because frozen fruits are used.
  • Scoop it in a pretty glass
  • Decorate with slices of strawberries as shown.
  • Slurp away with a fat straw or use a big spoon!

Nutrition-wise, it's better than the sugar-laden soft-serve ice cream that's loaded with artificial flavorings. It's so frothy that you can eat it with a spoon.

Tip:

Do you like to garden? Plant some strawberries in the Spring and they'll come up year after year giving you delicious organic fruits every year.
