 Well, you'll never believe there's a load of green veggies in this chocolate smoothie recipe! Just pure fruits, no sugar and no dairy.

This chocolate smoothie recipe is a keeper. Gone are the days when I drown myself with NOT so healthy chocolate smoothies laden with sugar. It's still my weakness and my enemy. Until I discovered how to become vegetarian the right and easy way!

Gone are the days when I limit my consumption of chocolate smoothies believing that it's no good for me... because of what they're made of. They taste so good and becomes evil once they hit my bloodstream! They made me sick.

But not anymore. I can have all the sweet mocha chocolatey shakes I want now. There's no added sugars, no chemical preservatives, no dairy and no artificial anything! 

Here's my version of that icy creamy healthy chocolate smoothie without a hint of dairy. That, my friends is a vegan chocolate dessert that you can drown into without an ounce of guilt.

It contains just natural sugar from fruits and even some leafy greens sneaked in. Oh yes... you can choose your leafy greens that you like. Suit yourself! 

The healthy chocolate smoothie recipe:

Organic Cacao Powder can easily be purchased on Amazon website.

  • Believe it or not (1 cup Spinach)
  • 6 Pitted Dates for sweetness
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Cherries
  • 2 Frozen Bananas
  • 10 Frozen Strawberries
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries
  • 2 tbsp raw Cacao Powder (or more)
  • 1/2 cup left-over sweet green juice to get it going (water or any nut milk can be used)
  • Cacao nibs for the sprinkles or coconut flakes.

** Don't forget 1  tbsp peanut butter. It makes all the difference!

What is Cacao Powder?

It's a raw form of Chocolate coming from the Cacao Bean. It's less processed compared to the cocoa powder that has so many additives.

Cocoa powder contains the anti-oxidant called flavonoids to lower the risk of certain types human diseases.

Cram them all together in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Blend them on high speed because the fruits are frozen. The smoothie will come out thick & creamy.

Naturally, when you mix red with green, it makes a chocolatey brown color. So might as well throw in some cacao powder in it to get that flavor.

Creamy, thick and icy. Beats the ice cream soft serve softie any day. Sip it slowly if you don't wanna get brain freeze :). 

It's definitely a glass of Yum done in a hurry. Berry smoothies and other dessert smoothies takes no time at all to make.

This healthy chocolate smoothie recipe is something I can live with and I can make over and over again. I can have this everyday for a meal specially when the temps are hot and steamy. It's chlorophyll goodness with chocolate. 

You will never believe that this is not ice cream. In terms of nutrients, this will put that Ben and Jerry concoction to shame.

Add some greens in your berries smoothies and watch the color turn brown like chocolate. Add some organic cacao powder instead of a chocolate bar. You'll get a super tasty and healthy chocolate smoothie with a bam!. 

This stuff has no added artificial stuff. Just pure and natural ingredients. Raw cacao is has more nutrients that the chocolate liquor from in those candy bars and cocoa powders.
